Teachers’ Appreciation Day 2012

Posted on

In early November (oh gosh this post is long overdue) we had our Teachers’ Appreciation Day! The 4th SPSC prepared a lovely ensemble of handmade mugs, each of a unique design courtesy of Mun Teng our secretary. Along with the mugs were love letters words of appreciation from all the physiotherapy students, and also a few packets of instant coffee/milo 😉

It was held right after the Director’s List of Semester 1, 2012 and it was the first public event the 4th SPSC organised and conducted in front of the physiotherapy student body (excluding the year 3s as they are away on their ongoing clinical attachments). I’m glad as well as relieved things went smoothly, better than we could ever hope for! 🙂 Our lecturers and mentors received their gifts with broad smiles while the students applauded with vigour, some lecturers even got a standing ovation!

These are the best of the pictures taken! Not all the teachers were able to be present so we proceeded to pass them their gifts at a later time. The 4th SPSC would like to say a very BIG THANK YOU to all the students for their contributions and to the teachers that have accommodated for us, enabling a memorable Teachers’ Appreciation Day!

I would say the success of the event has given us greater confidence for our upcoming events, who knows what challenges lie ahead? But I have faith in my fellow council members and together we will achieve great things. I would like to mimic a habit of our president, Afiqah, by ending this post with a quote by American Industrialist Henry Ford:

“Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”

With that, I end this 4th SPSC post, the first of many to come!
